I've not tried it on my windows computer yet. It also uses a sqlite database to hold all the info. It is programmed in Python so it will run on any platform. As soon as the threads tab is done I'll move on to the other tabs. It is not finished but the Machinist Calculator is on my web site if anyone wants to try it out. This is for CNC so only the straight line distance is needed and the software takes care of the compound angle to what ever you set it at. Are you going to post it?Yes this is for UNC, UCF, and ISO 60 degree threads. These are not exact: they have a small fudge factor to leave a bit for final passes. I am also assuming a 10% flat at the top of the threads.įor a straight in feed using the cross slide:Īnd for a 29/30 degree feed using the compound: You need to take the radius of the tip of your insert into account. You did not specify if you want the straight in feed (cross slide) or the 29/30 degree feed (compound) so I will give you both. I am assuming you want this for 60 degree Vee threads.
